Transitional & Classic Kitchen Design

Welcome to our Aleutian kitchen design and renovation project 

To create this open-concept kitchen design the existing wall between the kitchen and living room was removed to design a new kitchen almost double in size.

The new kitchen design offers twice as much storage and opens up into the living room which provides the perfect space for entertaining large family and friends.

Durable Tile Flooring

Large format porcelain tiles are installed throughout the entire space – from the foyer, kitchen, and into the living room. It was important to have durable flooring to accommodate the main access to the exterior pool.

We love the Mas de Provence tile collection – It is one of our favourites. This tile collection combines the warmth of traditional materials with immaculate contemporary design. It brings a neutral colour palette to any home design.

White & Navy Cabinet Colour Combination

Shaker-style cabinets in a crisp white painted finish along the perimeter of the kitchen are accented with a large island in a bold navy finish.

The island is the perfect location for a large prep space for cooking and accommodates seating for four in an L-shaped seating orientation – best for conversations.

Calacatta Quartz Countertop & Backsplash Tile

Gorgeous white Calacatta quartz countertops are paired with a beautiful marble-like backsplash hexagon tile. The backsplash is installed to the ceiling which elevates the look of this entire kitchen design.

Accents of brushed gold finishes can be found throughout the kitchen design: such as the cabinet hardware, pull-down kitchen faucet, and island pendant light fixtures.

Design Features

This kitchen design includes many great design features:

• Glass cabinets for displaying glassware.
• Open storage for wine bottles.
• An appliance garage to house the KitchenAid mixer and other large appliances. This keeps the countertops clear of items while still allowing for ease of access.
• Large pantry storage with pull-out interior drawers.
• Multiple large drawers with various accessories to store items in an intentional way.
• Built-in microwave with cabinetry trim kit for an integrated and seamless look.
• Dedicated zones for food prep, cleaning, cooking & food storage.
• Plenty of countertop space.

Powder & Mud Room Design

The adjacent mudroom and powder room received an update as well. Complete with new patterned tile flooring, a mudroom bench with additional coat storage, new porcelain tile flooring, new teak vanity &  champagne bronze faucets.
