Gorgeous Fireplace
Looking for a different and unique idea for your fireplace? Have you considered installing a large-format porcelain slab instead of using standard tiles? That is exactly what we did for the Whispering Winds Project. A few different options were considered to create a beautiful focal point for my client’s fireplace.
Once we saw this gorgeous Alabastri Madreperla Lucido porcelain slab at Euro Tile & Stone it was clear that THIS was the winning choice!
What Makes Porcelain Slabs Different?
1) You can install one large slab without any seams for a more continuous look. A typical slab can be 59”x126” in size.
2) Porcelain slabs are installed similarly to granite or quartz slabs, however, they come in a variety of thicknesses from 6/12/20mm. Much thinner than ¾” thick quartz.
3) Porcelain slabs can be installed in many different applications such as on walls, floors, and countertops. You can even make a piece of furniture! It is versatile so consider all the unique possibilities for this product…
Custom Millwork
When you have a living room that is a little small and serves dual purposes, you need to be creative with your design solutions. In this living room, we designed a custom media unit that provided plenty of storage as well as open display shelving.
If you are designing a custom media unit, you need to make sure it is properly balanced, especially when you are designing wall-to-wall custom millwork. I love a well-designed media unit!
