Are you Making the Most of Your Home’s Functionality?

Let’s face it, not everyone’s home is perfect. We all have certain areas in each of our homes that we feel could be better utilized and designed. Maybe it’s time for you to think long and hard about the house you have and its functionality and where you can make some much needed improvements.

If you are willing to ask yourself some of these important questions, you may find that a few simple renovations can make your home much more functional and livable.

Is your kitchen utilizing the efficiency of the classic triangle layout? Is the position of the sink/dishwasher, refrigerator and range within a few paces of each other? Do you have enough clearance behind each appliance to pass by? Does your dishwasher door open into your range or refrigerator?

Do your bedroom layouts maximize its space/square footage? Can you rearrange your bedrooms to have a better flow?

Is it possible for you to convert a main floor closet into a two-piece powder room – or could you move your laundry facilities closer to your bedrooms on the second floor?

Would a spare bedroom be better used as a playroom, office or guest room?

These are just some small design and renovation ideas that you can do to improve your home’s functionality.
